Gabriele Diewald is professor of German linguistics at Leibniz Universität Hannover. She studied German and English at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg and the University of Canterbury, Kent (1988). She received her PhD in German linguistics (1990) and her postdoctoral degree (Habilitation) in German linguistics (1998) at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg. Her main areas of research are grammatical categories, verbal constructions, modal particles, gender-neutral language, and grammaticalization.
Katja Politt is a postdoc at Leibniz Universität Hannover, where she also completed her PhD (2021). She studied German and English linguistics (M.A.) and teacher training for German and English (M.Ed.) at Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster. Her main areas of research are grammatical categories and paradigms, categorization, and verbal constructions.
