Gabriella Wollenhaupt arbeitete viele Jahre als Fernsehredakteurin in Dortmund. Ihre freche Polizeireporterin Maria Grappa hatte 1993 ihren ersten Auftritt und entwickelte sich zu einer der beliebtesten Ermittlerinnen im deutschen Krimi.
