Has been my favorite book since the 3rd or 4th grade, though I was never into books, this one really got my attention and doesn't get old.

it made me think a lot. The way he was shattered by the battles at first, but then engaged in the buttery wholeheartedly, without thinking is fascinating and somewhat disturbing.
