Gilles is my hero since I saw him racing for the first time I saw him on Zandvoort in 1979. I was in tears when he died in 1982. 21 years later, this book made me understand why he was so special.

First biography I ever read in hardback when it was first published, the sadness in the closing chapter is truly touching. Perfect tribute to a true hero.
