About the author

Geshe Kelsang Gyatso was born in Tibet in 1931 and is a fully qualified meditation master. Ordained a monk at the age of eight, he studied Sutra and Tantra at Sera College. He was invited to England in 1977 by the Manjushri Institute, and in 1979 he founded the Madhyamaka Centre in York and became its spiritual director.
