Solid 3.5. Interesting concept. Unlike other series which have cameos of other pairings to keep connection across the series/s, this one devoted a whole chapter every now and then, and went so far as to write the whole chapter in one of those character's pov. The suspense angle was good, but resolved really suddenly. The characters development throughout was ok, but the prose felt a little undercooked. No glaring spelling mistakes or typos. I just felt a tighter editing experience might’ve taken things to a new level. All in all, an ok read and didn't feel I'd wasted my time, but did get the book on sale (free), so may feel differently had I paid full price.
