About this ebook

Tangling up with my new physical therapist, Mila Lewis, is a mistake. One I can’t seem to stop making.

When I sign with the Tennessee Thunderbolts, I have two goals: prove my injury hasn’t benched my career and get back to New York.

But then, I meet Mila, the enigmatic therapist tasked with rehabbing my shoulder.

With her long ponytail, professional demeanor, and girl-next-door look, Mila is nothing like my usual type. She’s better—a good girl with sad eyes and a tragic past our small-town loves to dissect.

With the entire town up in her business, our budding connection is far from simple. I’m not staying, and Mila will never leave.

Deep down, I know I should walk away and let her find the happily-ever-after she deserves.

But I can’t. Not without showing her that it could be me.

And that may be the biggest mistake of all.

Gina Azzi is one of my go to authors for hockey and I was so excited when I heard we were getting a new series and Hot Shot’s Mistake (Tennessee Thunerbolts #1) didn’t disappoint, it was everything I have come to expect from this very talented author and so much more. This is Devon and Mila’s story. Devon can’t believe he is not only injured but also he has been traded to the Tennessee Thunderbolts and he is now living in a small town. It’s hard to get through to this broody, arrogant jerk but Mila the physiotherapist tasked with dealing with his injured shoulder touches him where no one else has. From the moment this couple meet they have a connection but she has been badly hurt in the past and he is not looking to stay, so where does that leave this couple that bring light into each other’s life’s… If this book is anything to go by Ms Azzi will certainly have another hit series on her hands, the characters are wonderful, the chemistry is sizzling but it was the team spirt and camaraderie that took this book to another level and left me wanting more from the Tennessee Thunderbolts. So excited for the rest of this series and can’t wait to see who’s story we get next.

5 Star Review of Hot Shot’s Mistake (Tennessee Thunderbolts #1) by Gina Azzi Gina Azzi is the author of one of my favourite hockey series and when I heard she had a new series releasing I could not wait to dive in to Hot Shot’s Mistake the first book in her latest Tennessee Thunderbolts series. This is Devon and Mila, the physiotherapist tasked with helping him recover from his recent shoulder injury. She should be off limits but there is isometrics about the sad woman that calls to him and even knowing it isn’t a good idea, Devon cannot help but be drawn to her. Devon is arrogant and a bit of a jerk but there is so much more to him than he allows to shine through. However, despite herself Mila sees beneath the surface and feels a connection to Devon; she has been badly hurt in the past, can she put her heart on the line for a man who says he isn’t staying? I loved the camaraderie among the players and that they forge a family, not of blood, but a family none the less. I am excited to see what Ms. Azzi has in store for these characters and cannot wait for the next book in the series.
