About this ebook

NHL Boston Hawks captain Austin Merrick used to be my boy-next-door. Now, he’s the man on my mind.

Our paths haven’t crossed in over a decade when I find myself back in Boston, desperate to save face in front of my ex-fiancé. With a devilish smirk and wicked blue eyes, Austin steps back into my life to be my plus one for a summer filled with weddings and events.

Should be fun and effortless, right?

Then why the need for rules?

And why do I crave his touch at the small of my back and wish for his kiss on a moonlit beach?

Suddenly, things begin to feel complicated, messy, and real. When I look at my first friend, I don’t see the boy-next-door, but the man I want to spend forever with.

If Austin learns the depth of my feelings, will he give us a real chance? Or are some rules better left unbroken?

This is the fourth book in the series and I just enjoy this series with every book. I really enjoyed this one. I loved Chloe and Austin. They were best friends when they were younger now this summer they reconnect. My heart broke for Chloe on why she's back home for the summer. Boy is Austin going to make her forget all about Steve. Austin and Chloe are adorable together. What was supposed to be an arrangement so they don't get fixed up by their moms soon begins to feel all too real. They are going to have their bumps in the road. It's hard not to be a little gun shy when it comes to relationships. This book is a make you feel good story that will leave you with a big smile on your face. I loved Chloe's Mimi. She's a riot and she reminds me a little of my grandma.

5 Star Review The Rule Maker (Boston Hawks Hockey #4) by Gina Azzi I loved this latest addition to the Boston Hawks Hockey series. The Rule Maker is captain Austin Merrick and Chloe’s friends to lovers story. This was an entertaining book that had me riveted from the first to the last chapter. I loved how real their friendship was and it was fun to watch as friendship turned to love. The chemistry between them is impossible to ignore, even though they know it will complicate their relationship. I loved the development of their relationship as it grew and I really liked how Austin was prepared to stand up and help Chloe out. I fell hard and fast for Austin, he is totally swoon worthy and has a heart of gold. My heart broke for Chloe and all she has been through with her cheating ex fiancee, but she is stronger than she knows. The Rule Maker is a heart warming and I was really cheering for Austin and Chloe to get the happily ever after that they both deserved.

Gina Azzi lights the lamp with THE RULE MAKER (Boston Hawks Hockey #4). Chloe Crawford moves back home to Boston after catching her fiancé sleeping with one of her best friends. She is reunited with her childhood best friend and now NHL Boston Hawks captain Austin Merrick. Chloe is stressed out about standing up in a wedding that her ex-fiancé will also be attending. Austin and Chloe agree to pretend to be dating and attend all their summer events together. It will help her save face, and it will help both in avoiding their mother’s constant need to set them up with various people. I love that Chloe and Austin can pick up their friendship with no awkwardness. They have fun together. I find it amusing that they both think that they are in the friend zone. Chloe’s experience hurt her confidence. I love that Austin helps build it back up. The Boston Hawks just won the Stanley Cup. It is now summer, and Austin feels a lot of pressure to defend their title. Chloe helps Austin with his struggles. THE RULE MAKER is a skillfully written and entertaining book. This is the first novel that I have read by Gina Azzi. I enjoyed her writing style. I plan on reading the previous books in the series, especially since those characters were in this book, and I want to know their stories. I recommend this book to people who enjoy hockey romance and friends to lovers’ romances. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
