This was a great read. It was the first book in this series that I have read but I really liked the couple, Jade and Arlo, and I enjoyed learning about Jade's roommates as well, so I'll have to check out the other stories as well. This book contained magic, mystery, and a magical problem that still isn't solved by the end. It was a little steamy and also funny. I loved the fact that Jade started insecure and learned to have confidence in her earthly powers and her body as well. Can't wait for the next book. Action packed, emotionally thrilling adventure filled with engaging charters, witty dialog, heart racing twists and thrilling danger. An edge of your seat emotional roller-coaster from beginning to end that was so hard to put down.

Each of Jade's roommates at Westwood Academy has a unique elemental affinity. After Jade's pressure cooker explodes and she is injured, she is "kidnapped" by a witch who wants to apologize. Arlo, a skilled healing wizard, explains why the witch took Jade. This story is funny, romantic, and a bit steamy, ending with a cliffhanger. Very highly recommended.
