About this eBook

“Wow . . . had me gripped from the first page . . . I honestly couldn't stop reading.” —Goodreads reviewer, five stars

A victim of crime may actually be a criminal in this twisting tale of psychological suspense by the author of Devil’s Play.

When Sophie Macreavey wakes up in the hospital, suffering from stab wounds, detectives are quick to question her—hoping to make sense of the horrific scene where she was found. Sophie’s adoptive parents and sister are dead. Her brothers are missing. Sophie can’t remember anything—but reveals the abusive nightmare she’s been through as part of the family.

The social worker assigned to her case eventually brings Sophie home, but soon notices discrepancies in Sophie’s story. She claims she hadn’t been allowed to use technology, yet there’s a social media account, extensive messages between herself and a boy, and videos of Sophie online. The more that comes out, the worse it looks for Sophie. She has told some lies. But will the full truth be uncovered?

I weren't sure if I would like this book to start but within a few chapters I was wanting to find out more... Its a very fast paced book written from just one young ladies point of view... The way she words some things though is like you can't always tell if she is telling the truth... It is worth 5 stars though... I really enjoyed this quick fast paced story... 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🤗👍

My Review: Wow!!!!! This book had me hooked from the very first chapter. I couldn’t put this one down. I started this book in the morning and by the time I went to bed I was finished. This book left me with so many questions but no answers about the debate on nature versus nurture. The human brain is such a mystery to me. I would love to figure out what makes a person good and what makes them evil. Is there any red flags that you should be on the lookout for? On to the book itself. I really loved the fact that throughout the whole book you never knew who or what to believe. The author would give you small clues but you never knew what was truly going on. I thought I had it figured it but I was so wrong. That ending shocked me. I couldn’t believe what I was reading and why it was done. This is my first book by this author but it certainly won’t be my last. In conclusion, the plot, the characters and all the twists in this book made this book an enjoyable read. I would definitely recommend it and happily give it 4 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️
