Girl of the Night Garden is a beautiful story of magic, young love, curses and revenge. This young adult fantasy romance is so wonderfully written by Lili Valente, and the creative genius she has penned is absolutely amazing. I don’t typically read this genre of stories, but this author has been at the top of my must read for years. So when I learned she was releasing this book, I decided to dip my reading toes in this genre, and I’m very glad I did. The magic/fantasy world she has created was so lovely and beautifully written and the way she described this world gave me the ability to envision her creations and I read this wonderful story. If you love magic, fantasy and young love, you will love Girl of the Night Garden.

wordpress GIRL OF THE NIGHT GARDEN by author Lili Valente is, simply put, beautiful. Lyrical, haunting, imaginative, this is a story that I fell into and got lost in from the very first page, and I absolutely loved it. I am an unabashed lover of young adult books. There is something about them that always appeals, and I have long been a fan. With GIRL OF THE NIGHT GARDEN, Lili has once again shown how very talented she is, writing a book that, while definitely part of the YA fantasy genre, will appeal to book lovers of all ages. Foxglove's and Declan's story is magical, both uplifting and heartbreaking. It is a journey to the deepest part of the heart, and a picture of what true love really means. I smiled and sobbed my way through this book, and I know that it will stay with me for a very long time. This one is a gift, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. ❤️

It took me a couple chapters to figure out what was going on in this novel, simply because the concept is so unique. Yet that is exactly what made it so compelling. And I loved how the island and rescue scene gave me Wonder Woman vibes. The magic and fantasy element were great, but we have to talk about the romance. The love between Clara & Declan is incredibly deep. They may be young, but they have this mature love that means they want the other to be happy, even if it isn’t together. I find that so beautiful. And the end! It was so crazy and frustrating, but also undeniably perfect.
