In recent years, especially since the end of the cold war, the field of global health has become increasingly linked with and central to the more traditional concerns of international relations. The spread of communicable diseases, the challenge of migrating health workers and the development of new technologies and medicines have all contributed to the ever-expanding issue of global health.
