I started this book this morning (10am) and at 4pm I had finished it! Very unlike me as I'm not a fast reader but I couldn't put this book down. Wonderful characters and very impressed by her understanding of our Scottish culture and curses!

I LOVE Glennis Campbell's work. Her heroines are kickass and snarky, her heroes are hot, noble and dream-worthy, her plots are a convoluted, fascinating exploration of the human condition and her writing laugh out loud perfect. You just can't get a better historical novel! This one goes back to the warrior women of Rivenloch but a different generation and has a warrior woman and a Highland laird claiming the same lowland Border castle. Deceit, treachery, stupidity, and mistakes all have their part in the unfolding story but, of course, amor vincis omni. What a delightful 4 hours! Many thanks.

A mind-blowing, sizzling, full of adventure book that easily transports you to a different time, like a mental time -machine. The way Glynnis Campbell writes, makes you get into the minds of the characters, feeling whatever they feel, living whatever they do. There were many moments that I felt frustrated with Morgan's "willful ignorance", stubbornness and over-loyalty. However, he is a brave man with a big heart, a human being with flaws who struggles with his responsibilities and duties. Jenefer is a strong, brave, and passionate woman with boldness and a good heart. Their chemistry is amazing, they fullfil each other perfectly. A great book that I really enjoyed!!! I can't wait to read the Bride of Ice, the next book in the series!
