À propos de cet ebook

In a parallel universe, President Automated wins the 2016 Presidential Election promising to ‘Make America Automated Again.’ The ‘Tax Cuts for the Rich 1% and Automate all Jobs Act’, or the #GOPTaxScam as he calls it on Twitter.com has been in place since January 2017. Now businesses get free robots, computers, and machines to do all the jobs in the United States of America. Massive unemployment follows as businesses record historic profits. President Automated eliminates the government’s social safety net programs and alters the tax brackets to benefit the rich one percent. Alternative facts rule as lies run rampant to hide the truth about automation taking over everyone’s jobs. President Automated uses alternative facts to assure everyone that their job is safe from automation and that there are sixty billion job openings in the United States of America.

A cast of characters must deal with this new reality. Dionysia has to deal with having to support her family as she is one of the few people in her household with a job. Xolotl is the leader of the illegal Luddite Wrecking Organization which seeks to stop automation from taking over our jobs. Alphaeus meets a new friend after some bad luck at work. Mary “Reveca” is doubting that she is doing the right thing. Nichomacus is a fervent supporter of President Automated and the Government of the Rich (G. O. P.) Party. Madyson must keep her workers' union from turning to violence to fight automation. Eddy wants to make sure that he helps protect the Luddite Wrecking Organization. Ellianna wants to help the other school teachers and get more funding for education. Rayne is an only child who loves reading and solving problems.
