Smugglers? Check.

A sexy as hell pirate who demands she follow his orders? Um, what?

Space Pirate meets Interstellar Bride candidate, in this suspenseful tale of murder, lies, spies, and of course a hot dominant alien. Zara has been sent to Trion to meet her mate. She has had a rough life, she was poor, lived on the streets and fight for everything she had. She’s a scrappy one that Zara. Isaak has been a Space Pirate for 4 years, since he left Trion for good. He had a falling out with his family and has been fighting the hive and dealing with scourge of the galaxy. That is until he hears rumors that there is a human female about to be turned over to the EVIL Cerberos. Ooohhh I hope Cerberos get’s what is coming to him! This book took me through twists and turns, it took me through some incredibly steamy times too! Whew, Isaak is one heck of dominant alien who expects all women to be submissive...lololololol, how do think things will go when he meets a woman who is a fighter? Yep, this is going to be good! I enjoyed the story, though there was just a tad to much (he won’t want me after, she won’t give into me and trust) for my personal taste, but I also get where the characters would feel that way based on their life experiences. I think my favorite part of the book was the ending, when everything came together, and it all just clicked. Isaak and his past, Zara and her desires, the spies and lies, and the storyline....it was a fabulous ending! If you like you like hot alien pirates.... you will love Isaak. If you like a strong, independent woman that can stand on her own two feet...even if a big ole alien is picking her up...you will love Zara. If you like a good revenge story...you will like this book! I don’t think I will ever tire of the Interstellar Brides and look forward to the next book!

MY HOME—MY LIFE—MY EVERYTHING As with the other Interstellar Bride book, they read great as a continuing saga, but each book will read well as a stand-alone. The story of an alien, Isaak from Trion, a rogue space pirate who is after Hive integrations, and has made a lucrative sale, is ready to leave when he learns of a human at this location. Knowing of Cerebus and the danger to this human, he will see Zara, from Earth—and while he usually won’t get involved, he can’t walk away—knowing her life is on the line. Zara will enter the Interstellar Brides program, leave her life in Boston, and matched to Naron of Trion. She will arrive, meet her mate, and within moments, he will be murdered by his Councilor, Bertok. Transported to another location and then sold to Cerberus. While on a rogue planet, she will be displayed and handed off to a trader who will take her to Cerberus, but fate will intervene by Isaak. The plot will have Isaak rescuing Zara and taking her aboard his spacecraft to escape those who want her. Learning she was on Trion, his home planet, and the events that lead up to her capture will have him taking her back to Trion. The journey includes dominance and submission, as these two are attracted to one another. Can Isaak master her, or will she master him? “You want someone to dominate you, to take control, to allow you to let go of all your troubles, to give them up.” While Zara is tough and proves to have street smarts to protect herself, she is small, and with the various aliens on this rogue planet, it will take the help of Isaak to get her out of there. He is intrigued by her spunk and sassiness but wants her to submit to his level of control and dominance. It is a massive give and take and not necessarily a victory. “She was soft. Defiant. Beautiful.” “I do not bring pain, gara. Only pleasure.” Zara and Isaak will have the help of Zenos and his mate, Ivy, from Earth. (The Rebel and the Rogue (Interstellar Brides® Program Book 19) Together, they will be fighting a new battle, and it is not only for her freedom but for his people of Trion. When it is all resolved, what will become of these two? Will he leave Trion and go back to his lonely life in space? Will Zara fall under the protection of her dead mate’s family? Or, will these two accept that sometimes fate has a sense of humor. “Isaak. Mine. Forever. My master. My mate.” “My home. My life. My everything.” “He had a family. He had me. I had a new planet. A mate. A life. Love.” The story has mystery, suspense, passion, secrets, and angst. Not everything is as it seems, and things don’t always work out as planned. Sometimes, it takes doing the right thing, for the right reason, getting involved, and accepting that nothing in return will come---unless freely given. Zara can’t return to Earth, and she doesn’t want to; what she wants is someone to accept her as she is, love her, and let her love them. The chemistry between them sizzles off the pages—and together, they can heal and have a new life.

Zara Novak is a spunky, feisty, fighter who has had a rough life growing up and surviving on the streets. It’s time to start over with a new and better life, so she signs up to be an interstellar bride. She is matched to someone on Trion and her new mate Naron is murdered right in front of her! She is saved from being auctioned by Isaak, but someone is still after her. He takes her aboard his spacecraft to escape from those who want to take her captive again. But the scrappy little human would to fight by his side to take down the bad guys. She is not what he would have expected in a female. This author has been one of my favorites for eons! I could always count on her for a fantastic book. But like with many of the sci-fi authors lately, I see a direction I totally dislike. I positively do not like discipline, punishment, or spanking themes, feeling they are completely inappropriate as relates to adults. For me at least, it adds absolutely nothing of value to the story, turns my stomach, and disappoints me in my reading enjoyment. I am not a prude, but this for me is OTT and ruins an excellent story. Please, stop adding kinky nonsense that is just plain nasty. I lost all respect for both characters with the dominant/submissive tug-of-war. The whole thing leaves a bad taste in my mouth. When you want someone to just love you, you don’t need a punishing “Master” to tell you how you will obey or else the punishment will begin! That’s not love!
