About this ebook

Official Update: Webnovel

Growing up in poverty, Sunny never expected anything good from life. However, even he did not anticipate being chosen by the Nightmare Spell and becoming one of the Awakened - an elite group of people gifted with supernatural powers. Transported into a ruined magical world, he found himself facing against terrible monsters - and other Awakened - in a deadly battle of survival.

What's worse, the shadow powers he received happened to possess a small, but potentially fatal side effect...

One of the best novels ever written, without a doubt. Some web novels have long surpassed their Japanese counterparts and tropes. Manga and novel lovers have reached a higher age in the West as well. It's time that the commercially available works did too.

I tried so hard to make it through this book because it came highly recommended. At chapter 10 in Webnovels I gave up. The character is winey and hopeful at the same time and it gets annoying. The book explains so far ahead in Chapter 10 and it just comes off as irrelevant.

For those who know, it is a great mix between supergene and solo leveling while adding a more in depth and coherent story. Definitely a must read for adventure/fantasy/action lovers.
