About the author

Prof. Gurminder Singh is currently working as an assistant professor at the mechanical engineering department, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India. He worked as a postdoc researcher in the school of mechanical and materials engineering at University College Dublin (UCD), Dublin, Ireland. Before joining UCD, Dr Singh was a Postdoc fellow at SIMAP Lab, University of Grenoble Alpes, France, where his research focused on the experimental and simulation studies of the extrusion 3D printing of metals. Dr Singh was Gandhian young Technological Innovation Award for the development of a 3D printing method for the fabrication of patient-specific stents in 2020. He has published over 26 articles in peer-reviewed international journals, conference proceedings and books. He has published in leading journals such as Additive Manufacturing, Materials Science and Engineering: A, Journal of Manufacturing Processes, Rapid Prototyping, etc.

Dr. Ranvijay Kumar is an assistant professor (research) at Marwadi University Research Center, Marwadi University. He has received PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Punjabi University, Patiala. Additive manufacturing, shape memory polymers, smart materials, friction-based welding techniques, advanced materials processing, polymer matrix composite preparations, reinforced polymer composites for 3D printing, plastic solid waste management, thermosetting recycling, and destructive testing of materials are the skills of Dr. Kumar. Dr. Kumar has won the prestigious CII MILCA award in 2020. He has co-authored more than 80 research papers in science citation-indexed journals, and 50 book chapters and has presented 20 research papers in various national/international level conferences. He has contributed extensively to Additive Manufacturing literature with publications appearing in the Journal of Manufacturing Processes, Composite Part: B, Rapid Prototyping Journal, Journal of Thermoplastic Composite Materials, Measurement, Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part C (IMache Part C), Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part H: Journal of Engineering in Medicine, Journal of Thermoplastic Composite Materials, etc. Dr. Kumar is recognized among the top 2% of Scientists listed by Stanford University in 2022, 2023 and 2024

Sunpreet Singh is researcher in NUS Nanoscience & Nanotechnology Initiative (NUSNNI). He has received Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana, India. He has contributed extensively in additive manufacturing literature with publications appearing in Journal of Manufacturing Processes, Composite Part: B, Rapid Prototyping Journal, Journal of Mechanical Science and Technology, Measurement, International Journal of Advance Manufacturing Technology, and Journal of Cleaner Production. He has authored more than 150+ research papers and book chapters. He is also editor of 3 books- "Current Trends in Bio-manufacturing", “3D Printing in Biomedical Engineering, and "Biomaterials in Orthopaedics and Bone Regeneration - Design and Synthesis". He is also guest editor of several journals- special issue of “Functional Materials and Advanced Manufacturing, Facta Universitatis, series: Mechanical Engineering (Scopus Indexed), Materials Science Forum (Scopus Indexed), and special issue on “Metrology in Materials and Advanced Manufacturing, Measurement and Control (SCI indexed), Materials, Sustainability (MDPI).

Chaudhery Mustansar Hussain is an Adjunct Professor and Director of laboratories in the Department of Chemistry & Environmental Sciences at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), United States. His research is focused on the applications of nanotechnology and advanced materials, environmental management, analytical chemistry, and other various industries. Dr. Hussain is the author of numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals as well as a prolific author and editor of around 150 books, including scientific monographs and handbooks in his research areas.
