She woke up and she was on this dumb dramatic mode where she thought the lumberjack who rescued her injected her with some drug to rape and kill her afterwards. Of course she was the one who stumbled on his cabin searching for signs of human life and he was this recluse who didn't want anything to do with society and strangers including her. Rough and ill mannered, no signs of any gentlemanly behavior. The female character was created a bit stupid from the get go, ridiculous and fragile that it was instinctive for him to help and care for her. The scene created reeks so well of a victim running scared away from a crime or a fugitive hiding away from society. Heavy angst is oftentimes made lighter with a wiitty sense of humor and the story was entertaining. Overall, well worth the time reading.

This was truly a beautiful love story. I adored Beau and Brooke and their chemistry. The setting of the story was so well described that I felt like I was there. I was kept in suspense all the way until they found their happy ending.

DNF 30% Feels like I've read this book before. Storyline has been done before. Got a bit bored with all the mysterious background story and repeated dialogue. Characters didn't hold my interest in this one. Wasn't poorly written or edited in the part I read though
