His second mistake is thinking I won’t come for her.

Mine is letting wrath consume me and believing I won’t have to pay for my sins.

This three-book collection includes Wrath, After Wrath, and Surviving Wrath. Dive into the world of the Albanian mob in this dark mafia romantic suspense collection.

"I am done [with the series] and I have to tell you that after reading Surviving Wrath: it's like I was sucker-punched, left raw and bewildered. However, the ending put me back together. One of the best stories that I have read!!!” - 5-star review

Wrath, the first book, is a quick read, under an hour, but don't let that stop you giving it a try. It's not a typical romance, given that the hero, Konstandin, and the heroine, Jade, are already together and in love. The story starts with Jade being kidnapped and follows Konstandin's journey of retribution and rescue. With the exception of the epilogue, it is written solely from the hero's point of view, leaving you in no doubt of both his immense love for Jade, as well as his willingness to do anything to rescue her. What follows is a tale of blood and violence, this is a darkly gritty read, though the only non-consent is implied rather than experienced/witnessed. Wrath held me utterly spell-bound, with it's fast pace, the connection I felt to Konstandin and just the wonderful quality of writing. After Wrath is written entirely from the main male characters pov. I say main male character because no way would I ever call Aleksander/The Dragon a hero! He is glowering, moody, aggressively alpha and deliciously dark. Unafraid to get blood on his hands and with very little patience, Aleks is the man you know will be very bad for you, but who you just can't resist. Written entirely from his point of view, and with it also being a novella, it is harder to get a full picture of Brynn/Kitty. I liked what I saw, a strong woman willing to do what it takes to get by but with a good heart and kind soul. I definitely need more of her in future books, more of her with Aleks but also more of her just being. In Wrath we got Konstandin's story, in After Wrath we heard from The Dragon, Aleksander. Surviving Wrath is Rea's turn to speak to us. This is a continuing series, so both previous books need to be read before this one. Each book has explored the impact of wrath, both on the main character and those around them. For so long Rea has been the victim or wrath, an innocent pawn in the games of other people. All she strives for is to be able to build a peaceful life for her son. Wrath isn't done with her just yet, but a threat to the innocent who is her whole life means Rea must unleash a wrath of her own. What results is a story full of action, intrigue, loss, sorrow and hope. It's a fairly quick read but still manages to pack plenty of passion in, as well as the violent world that Rea has never wanted a part of. It was maybe my least favourite of the three, mainly because of the impact it had on the story in After Wrath. Overall a twisted and engaging series.

A dark twisted tale of a forbidden love WRATH I had no idea what I was getting into when I started this book. I just figured since it was written by Gwyn it had to be awesome, and I was not disappointed. Wrath was dark and bloody, but it is also intense and beautiful in a way. Even though the end was not anything that I was expecting, it was one of the beautiful parts of the story. AFTER WRATH After Wrath is the second book in the Deadliest Sin Series and you have to have read Wrath first. If you are looking for a different type of romance, one that is brutal, not your everyday hearts and roses and has hard, dangerous men who have no mercy. Then this may be a book and series you want to take a look at. Alek has come to get vengeance for the wrongs that have been done, but first he has to find the root of the problem. On his road to vengeance Alek comes across Brynn. A staggering woman who is only trying to better herself and take care of her ill mother. That epilogue just blew everything I thought up. SURVIVING WRATH The third and finale book in The Deadliest Sin Series. An unexpected, violent way to end this story, but truly amazing! Surviving Wrath is an emotional journey really, the most emotional book of the series. Everything comes full circle in this book and shows you how revenge can impact lives. If you haven’t already, you should give this series a try by starting with Wrath.

If you like very dark romantic suspense, this set is for you. It doesn’t go the way of most romances because it is dark. I’ve read the books individually, but not all together. Having the boxset and being able to read them one after another was amazing and makes the story as a whole so much better. Each of the 3 books is told by a different person, but the story arc ties together. I think that having the different POVs gives it a different feel for different parts of the story. Just be warned that you will want to have something that you can throw instead of your reading device, and it couldn’t hurt to have tissues and/or alcohol handy because this is a Gwyn McNamee book we’re talking about. If you’ve read her other works you’ll know, and you just might catch a couple of little golden nuggets ;) . I’m looking forward to more Deadliest Sins books.
