Hairstylist Marla Vail’s friends are hurt in a car accident on New Year’s Eve. As per their instructions, Marla assumes guardianship of their infant son. But when her detective husband determines the crash may not have been an accident after all, she gets on the case. Who would want Tally and Ken out of the way? As Marla delves deeper into their lives, she realizes she didn’t know them as well as she’d thought. Nonetheless, it’s her duty to protect their child even if it means learning the ugly truth.
