This is a well written, short, spicy story. Addie and Heath meet at just the right time. Their pragmatic approach to solving each other's problem is a fast paced way to arrive at their happily ever after. Sweet characters and intriguing futures set up this series for success. When his legacy gets sold, Heath ends up working there instead of owning it. Welcome home Marine! Adeline finds her new home in the small town very charming. If she decides to stay for a year, she can have her entire inheritance. When she decides to go to the towns Fall Harvest dance, it's an attempt to break out of her shyness and socialize. At 29, she's starting over with no friends. It's like they were meant to meet, well, sorta kinda. He helps her home and leaves feeling desire in his heart and other places. When they each find out who the other is the next morning, that's when the fireworks really start to fly, But no matter the circumstances, they feel what they feel. Can you say "Heart-Spark"? This short story is dual POV, well written, and a sweet and steamy, contemporary romance. I enjoyed Heath’s ruggedness and energy. I enjoyed Adeline’s personal growth and willingness to reach out for what she wanted. I enjoyed their attraction and intimate moments. I enjoyed the world building and am looking forward to the rest of the series. I received a complimentary copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
