About this ebook

Grammy Award–nominated, platinum-selling musician Halsey is heralded as one of the most compelling voices of her generation. In I Would Leave Me If I Could, she reveals never-before-seen poetry of longing, love, and the nuances of bipolar disorder.

In this debut collection, Halsey bares her soul. Bringing the same artistry found in her lyrics, Halsey’s poems delve into the highs and lows of doomed relationships, family ties, sexuality, and mental illness. More hand grenades than confessions, these autobiographical poems explore and dismantle conventional notions of what it means to be a feminist in search of power.

Masterful as it is raw, passionate, and profound, I Would Leave Me If I Could signals the arrival of an essential voice.

I Would Leave Me If I Could Poetry book by Halsey review I bought this poetry book 📚 by Halsey one year ago & the two reasons why I bought it is one: I write poetry myself so I wanted to read poetry by others & two: I was fond of the front cover & I thought it looked quite expressive. I bought it from eBay & when it arrived I opened the poetry book 📚, I read about two pages & straightaway I felt uncomfortable as they used explicit language, most of the poems was horrible. I know everyone writes poetry differently but maybe they could of take in consideration of the readers feelings & thoughts as it might not be good for their mental health if they read these kind of poems. Halsey born Ashley Frangipane is an American musician & their songs include Closer, Alone & Still Learning, IWLMIIC was their debut poetry book back in November 2020. My star rating ⭐| ⭐⭐⭐⭐ One out of five Would I recommend this poetry book to my friends & family? No I wouldn't because it has men-hating content, they write about inappropriate topics. Halsey uses the pronouns she/they, if they improves their writing & maybe think of themes then I think she could publish a poetry book what for example I would like to read. Some of the poems are actually some of their songs what they've made but maybe they wanted to extend their writing in their poems & songs can be made into poems & poems can be made into songs.
