Hard Compromise

This one is steamy. Have those cold glasses of water handy. This is ten years in the making for Laurie and Ethan. Ethan is not letting any more time go by before he makes his move. Laurie owns a bakery which drew me to this book. I really enjoyed this one. It has the heat, but it also has depth. Laurie has a run of some really bad luck and my heart goes out to her. Ethan makes things a little more bearable, but can she trust what's going on with Ethan? Ethan is definitely a dirty talker and I love how he wants to be there for Laurie, but is he willing to wait a little longer on Laurie?

"Hard Compromise" by Samantha Beck is book number two in the "Compromise Me" series. This is Laurie (Lauralie) Peterson and Sheriff Ethan Booker's story. Ethan and Laurie come from extremely different backgrounds. Ethan comes from a very wealthy family. He has chosen to work in law enforcement instead of a desk job with his dad. No matter how hard Laurie works her past seems to bite her in the butt every time. Laurie has had a rough life and Ethan has been keeping an eye on her for ten years. There was just something about Laurie that got to him over the years. He wants a relationship with her not just a one night stand. This story is an emotional and extremely steamy romance with depth. Ethan's character was just amazing. Will he be able to get through to Laurie that she is a wonderful person and deserves happiness? Can he get Laurie to see his love for her and that she fits perfectly into his life? Curl up and be prepared for a wild ride because when it involves Ethan and Laurie it's never boring. LOVED!!! Booker is incredibly yummy and the chemistry between him and Laurie sizzles the pages of this book. Booker's been watching Laurie for ten years. He's seen her grow from an out of control teenager to the breathtaking successful woman she is today and he's determined that now is their time. Convincing Laurie might take a little work but he's in. All in! Samanthe Beck did an amazing job of writing a story that grabs your attention from the very first page and keeping you so enthralled you don't want to see it end. Put this on the must read list. I highly recommend it.
