About this ebook

Harris Moffatt III, President of the Free United States and Prime Minister of Canada, has never seen Washington, D.C.; it belongs to the Krolp now, along with ninety percent of everything. All he can do is try to keep the rest of it out of their hands, in Harry Turtledove's Vilcabamba.

The Inca town of Vilcalbamba held out against Spanish invaders, just as the Americans are trying to do. The Aliens have landed. And they are like men in armour on horseback. They are ugly, terrifying, their weapons far in advance, and act just like an American would imagine they'd act. Kind of tit for tat. But maybe the real Aliens would kill by kindness. Or disinterest. Or maybe they'd do something different and entirely unpredictable. Maybe they already did. Maybe that's why we're still here. Maybe.

Way too short to be charged for reading. Don't waste your money.
