About this eBook

A hidden message, treachery, opposition, and a God-given success will lead to an unlikely bounty.

In Harvest of Gold (Book 2), the scribe Sarah married Darius, and at times she feels as if she has married the Persian aristocracy, too. There is another point she did not count on in her marriage—Sarah has grown to love her husband. Sarah has wealth, property, honor, and power, but her husband’s love still seems unattainable.

Although his mother was an Israelite, Darius remains skeptical that his Jewish wife is the right choice for him, particularly when she conspires with her cousin Nehemiah to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. Ordered to assist in the effort, the couple begins a journey to the homeland of his mother’s people. Will the road filled with danger, conflict, and surprising memories, help Darius to see the hand of God at work in his life—and even in his marriage?

This is the first book I have read from this author, and I love it! Reading this narrative provided me with deeper insights to the struggles Rahab faced when she was grafted to the Jewish nation. She may have been known as a woman of great faith with her act of hiding the Israelite spies knowing she was endangering her life, but it most likely took a deeper level of faith for her to live with them. This book did well in showing that and more.

the book was captivating, n enjoyable. I enjoyed the references the author drew from the Bible, n worked them in like they were a background story. plus learning passages that helped me with my own wall with God.

I've lost count how many times I've read Sarah and Darius's story. The action itself plus the wisdom always captures my imagination and heart. Hoping it's made into a movie and looking for a third installment Mrs. Afshar (hint hint). ♡
