About this eBook

A Hearts Entwined Novel

As a stunningly attractive man and the owner of a successful chain of auto repair garages, Trevor is used to attention, adoration, and getting what he wants. What he wants tends to be passionate, no-strings-attached flings with men he meets in clubs. He doesn’t expect anything different when he sets his sights on James. Imagine his surprise when the charm that normally brings men to their knees fails to impress. Trevor will need to drop the routine and connect with James on a meaningful level. He starts by offering to take James home instead of James riding home with his intoxicated friend.

For James, losing his sight at a young age meant limited opportunities for social interaction. Spending most of his time working at a school for the blind has left him unfamiliar with Trevor’s world, but James has fought hard for his independence, and he knows what he wants. Right now, that means stepping outside his comfort zone and into Trevor’s heart.

Trevor is also open to exploring real love and commitment for a change, but before he can be the man James needs him to be, he’ll have to deal with the pain of his past.

✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ FOUR & 1/2 - STAR ✩ REVIEW ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ > > Judging a Book by it's Cover < < I passed this one when it first came out because it never really caught my eye, even though the synopsis did interest me. > > Looking Deeper < < POV ~> Third-person Trevor's a good-looking, hard-working guy with a hobby of clubbing with his two best friends and scoring hook-ups as a way to escape the pain of his past. James is a golden-hearted angel brought to the club by one of his friends, only to be abandoned shortly after arriving. Trevor's drawn to the man who resists his initial advances and is not put off once he learns of James' inability to see. Their chemistry was enjoyable. The secondary cast contained a wide variety of personalities. Dialogue felt natural, interactions were believable. The plot moved along smoothly and had just enough conflicts and dynamics to keep the pages turning. The conflicts were resolved fairly well. One minor, unaddressed plot event kept nagging at the back of my mind: Trevor ran to the supermarket while James packed a bag to spend the night at Trevor's. The groceries were never mentioned again... I can't help but think they thawed or spoiled in the trunk, left forgotten in light of the situation that had occurred. There were some minor points of predictability, ie (without spoilers): bill of sale / buyer and the Chase situation. However, while I suspected the big picture, the minor details in how it presented itself was still an unknown. The conclusion was solid enough, giving the reader an implied HEA that is satisfying. Andrew Grey has a way of presenting characters that society labels disabled and showcases them in a way that highlights their strengths and capabilities. He creates memorable characters and amazingly warm reads. .
