About this eBook

An enemies-to-lovers, fake engagement that’s about to get dangerously real.

Blake Sinclaire has a foolproof plan to reclaim his family’s ranch—except it didn’t include falling for Maddie Hansen. The girl next door has turned into a fierce, stunning woman with a quick wit and a kiss that nearly undoes him. His solution? A fake engagement to put an end to the long-standing feud between their families.

But Maddie has her own dreams and no intention of leaving her life behind for the grumpy, brooding cowboy she grew up hating. Blake is trouble, and she knows it. But when sparks fly, and the chemistry between them becomes impossible to deny, Maddie agrees to play along… as long as those toe-curling kisses stay private.

What could go wrong? Just meddling grannies, a town full of gossip, and a scandal big enough to ruin them both. The real danger, though, might just be falling in love—for real.

I think it's great that 2 kids were able to end a long family fued by falling in love and getting married. Simon finally has a chance at a great life with great people. The Sinclaire boys are nothing like their father, I loved learning how different they are.

Loved the story. Could have enjoyed it just as much with less vulgar language. No call for it and it did not add to the story. I guess if it was to be a turn on I should have been looking for a x rated story for the sex. I was not. I was looking for romance and it was full of that. However there are more romantic stories that do not have to reduce the writers to that level. I think I will find some of those and leave Tessa Layne on her on. After time has past and there are so many more books written that I have enjoyed with so much more of the explicit love scenes I have changed my review of this book to "loved it". It is a great story with love drama and misunderstandings.
