About this ebook

What’s a woman to do when trapped in a storm with a handsome scoundrel?

Weary from dodging wandering hands, Yvette Valiant escapes yet another scandalous house party and her brother’s dubious protection, fleeing into a snowy landscape, intent on returning home to Bath for Christmas. One stranded coach later, she’s rescued by the biggest rogue of them all—her brother’s best friend.

A scoundrel he may be, but even Luc Ayles is capable of love. What else would have him chasing a woman who seemingly detests the very sight of him? When Yvette foolishly puts her safety and reputation in jeopardy, Luc rushes to her aid, despite knowing his affection is the last gift Yvette could ever want for Christmas.

Then again, it’s the season of giving…and if Yvette would only give him her heart, it could be the happiest holiday ever.

He is her brother’s best friend and a consummate rake. Luc has actually changed his ways, but Yvette doesn’t know it. At a rather unsavory house party he is keeping an eye on Yvette because her brother is not a very good chaperone. She decides she has had enough of scoundrels and decides to leave. Fortunately, Luc follows her. When her carriage breaks down, he takes her to his grandmother’s house. Maybe he will have an opportunity to prove himself and woo her while they are stranded by the snowstorm. I like this story. It is fun and the characters are likeable. I received an ARC of this book via BookSprout. My review is voluntary.

Snow is a four letter word just like love. Luc maybe a rake but he is a charming one and he cares for Yvette. Now she does not see that after all he is her brother’s best friend. Her brother doesn’t do much in the way of protecting his sister and because of that it leads to let’s say an adventure. Such an entertaining book and a quick read at that. I loved the ending the interaction and banter between the characters was priceless. I did receive a free copy of this book from Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.

This little holiday romance was a reminder that a person's past doesn't ALWAYS define them. And make sure your coachman is loyal. And maybe don't assume what language the people around you do or don't speak. And when they finally end up together it is rather steamy. I enjoyed this cute little story, worth reading anytime. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
