I've must give this 2nd book in the series four stars. For me, there was a LOT of redundancy in talking about the original Jack the Ripper and the letters and the various people who might have committed the original crimes. I understand that the author needed to bring all readers not familiar with the original Jack the Ripper case up to speed, but it seemed like they discussed all the possibilities over and over and over, so fully one third of the book moved at a snail's pace. This book did however move the story along, at least at the beginning and the end. So, I have purchased the third book!

I've read the entire Krewe series, so I was glad to see a spin-off. It didn't disappoint either, I couldn't put it down. I feel silly even noticing, but a few times I noticed the names given were wrong. The krewe psychiatrist is Patrick Law from the Krewe series, so when "Phillip" called, I was very confused. I'm the first book in this spin-off also, I remember a name being wrong and I had to go back to figure out who they meant. Not a big deal, but annoying enough.
