The second book in the Bravo Team WOLF series by Heather Long confirms that my initial assessment of this series was spot on, in fact I would have to say I may have underestimated a bit. Bitten Under Fire is a thrilling romance that gets the heart pumping and passion raging. This story starts off with quite an adrenaline punch and gets more exciting as it continues. It is fast paced with lots of dangerous thrills, twists that keep readers on the edge of their seat and a major secret that not only will have to be revealed but could destroy all the happiness this couple could have before it really gets started. Bianca and Cage have lots of electrifying chemistry and being the strong, compelling characters they are, they easily draw readers into their lives as they strive for an happily ever after which in there is threatened by a major secret and plenty of emotional turbulence. The attraction between Bianca and Cage is undeniable, the passion is red hot and readers can’t help but hope that they can overcome the obstacles and become another strong Bravo Team WOLF couple. Heather Long has definitely created an exciting paranormal military world with lots of fascinating characters that I just want to sink my teeth into again and again. These wolves are tough, sexy and easily set hearts to pounding and passions burning and I can’t wait until their next mission.

5 Stars Review by Sasha Late Night Reviewer for Up All Night w/ Books Blog Bitten Under Fire by Heather Long is a sassy yet passion filled story. Life can change in a matter of moments. Bianca Devlin has dedicated her life to helping out those in need and never making a moment to think about herself. The one time she’s forced to take a vacation for herself, she can’t help but continue her hero-ing. When a young boy is taken by jungle rogues, she can’t help but put herself in dangers way. Just when it’s starting to look like her heroic streak might have finally done Bianca in, Sergent Carlos “Cage” Castillo and the members of Bravo team WOLF comes to the rescue. Strong, brave and a bit cocky, Bianca couldn’t help but fall for him (literally and physically). As suave as Cage might come off to those around him, he was hiding a big secret, and one that he feared might affect more than just his life. Cage is part wolf, born with the ability to shift into his wolf form whenever he wants and is always connected to his other side. In the process of saving Bianca and the boy from their captors, he might have bitten her. Not only worried about her safety and future, but also intrigued by the mysterious beauty, Cage implements himself into Bianca’s life. What he didn’t expect was to fall for her. She was nothing like he expected her to be but everything he soon learned that he wanted. His only fear was that he had changed the course of her life forever, and how would she look at him once she learned the truth about his kind and what he’d done? The spark that is between Cage and Bianca flourishes from the very beginning of the book. Their relationship is portrayed in such a real way that captured the rush that comes with falling quickly for someone. In such a short time, Long is able to capture the true essence of what people describe as “knowing they found the one”. Both characters are strong-willed and slightly scared at their feelings, but unwavering in wanting to be together. I would give this book 5 out of 5 stars because it captures readers from the beginning and keeps them hooked throughout the whole story.

Cage and Bianca captivated me from the start. I really liked them as people and how they treated each other. They aren't coy, they are open and honest. Now, you may say Cage not so much, but he wasn't dishonest, he was waiting. And then, he did the right thing as soon as he knew what needed to be done. It was refreshing to have a couple that was, well, normal. They didn't have baggage that they carried, they dealt with their lives. They had family, and accepted them for their flaws, and loved them. They didn't need to be in the centre of the spotlight, or flashy, or stand out in the crowd, they were accepting of who they were, and embraced what made them happy I really liked Cage and Bianca, and reading their story, let me get to know them, and how perfect they were for each other!
