I'm active duty military, divorced, paying child support, and filling the role of part time father despite providing my wife a college degree, an income, home, gifts within our means, love and respect. I bought this book because during my 7 years in the military have witnessed many divorces from close friends in the military and want to gain some perspective why women can't be satisfied, or simply "give up". When asked why, after 6 years of marriage and a two year old child, would she want a divorce, and the only response I got was, "I'm not happy". I'm not saying the marriage was perfect, but giving up my happiness, for the good of my family and servitude to country had been normal behavior. I just prioritized my family's welfare and happiness over my own and felt betrayed when I heard her say the words.

I haven't finished yet but this book has proven to be worth the time if you are interested in understanding why 21st century men are behaving the way they are, especially in regards to marriage.
