"His Christmas Miracle" by Dani Collins is book number five in the "Love in Montana" series. This is Quincy Ryan and Nicki Darren's story. Nicki took a temporary job working for Quincy. She is to take care of Quincy's father and son plus take care of the house. Nicki is just what Quincy and his son needs in their lives. Nicki is a happy and a bubbly person. Whereas Quincy is a quiet, shy, and reserved guy. Nicki and Quincy's story is a sweet and heartfelt romance. I fell in love with Nicki and Quincy's characters. FYI, includes mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

4.5 stars — This book was exactly what I was looking for in a Christmas novel!! It had characters that I connected with and felt for, fun moments, sad moments, wintery moments…it was nice after having some bad luck. Nicki was pretty easy for me to relate to — I loved her spunky happy personality, how she sought out joy in the little things. I also related to her sense of failure, and it was nice to see her work through that in this book. I loved the way she connected and bantered with Pops, and she was exactly what Atlas and Quincy needed in their lives. I actually connected with parts of Quincy’s personality too, his natural reticence with people and scars from childhood. I loved that even though he was worried about being a good father, he didn’t shy away from the opportunities that Nicki gave him. I was a bit bummed with his reluctance to show affection — it was very stereotypically male, and it didn’t really fit with who Pops was…but alas. The chemistry between Nicki and Quincy was actually pretty great…I loved all these moments you got to see as they both felt a connection with one another, but resisted it. And even though it was a bit slow burn, I really felt their emotions when the climax finally came around. I honestly wasn’t sure how it was going to resolve, but I was happy with how it did. There were some great secondary characters in this one, from ones that played a large role to ones that played just a fleeting part. The town of Marietta is so richly developed, with so many characters and couples from other books (both by this author and from others) that it’s fun to see it from different perspectives. But the highlight for me was wholeheartedly the relationships that both Nicki and Quincy develop with Atlas. He’s a super cute kid, but I also really felt for his emotional upheaval, and having to get used to strangers becoming family. I loved the way the Christmas activities every day helped them all grow together, and it totally got me into the spirit along with them. So yeah…a solid Christmas book, and a romance I could root for.

Loved this story!! Shows the true magic of Christmas. Quincy became an instant father to a son that he didn't know he had, he looks to his father for guidance. He moves to Marietta to be with his dad, he hires Nicki, down on her luck actress to help with the care of his father and his son, Atlas. What Nicki does is brings magic into the holiday season and brings Quincy and Atlas closer together. As she brings this family closer together, her heart opens up to Quincy too. There is so much to love in this story, all of the Christmas activities. Loved the growing relationship between Quincy and Nicki, and Atlas is just so darn cute. I highly recommend you add this book to your holiday reading.
