About this eBook

One look, one touch, and there is no denying the heatā€¦

ļ»æTwenty-one and single, Alexis Lopez hopes her lackluster response to men is a problem sheā€™s eager to solve by volunteering for the Interstellar Brides Program. One look at the large, dominant alien who claims she belongs to him sets her body on fire. When he tells her, in explicit detail, how heā€™ll claim her in every way, she is eager to give her mate everything, body and soul.

Von of Everis is a ruthless and high ranking Hunter whoā€™s spent years fighting in the Hive wars. But his bed, and his life, are empty until Alexis arrives. One look at his innocent little bride and he knows she belongs to him.

Simple, right? Nope. The match is challenged by one of the most feared warriors on the planet and stolen kisses and mind-numbing pleasure wonā€™t save Von from a deadly duel. But Von is a Hunter, a warrior, a protector, and someone is trying to take what belongs to him. Only him. He will do whatever it takes to protect, save and claim his virgin mate.

A new spin-off series from the Interstellar Brides (the first was the Colony and now the Virgins). The author has brought the Everis Hunters (first seen in The Alien's Mate: Cowgirls and Aliens) out of the Old West and brings us to their home planet. With the Everis, we see marked mates. The Everis came to Earth long ago and mated with humans thus some humans have Everis DNA and mate marks. Matching mate marks and dream sharing are what every Everian dreams of but only a few ever find their marked mates. This story is basically and introduction to the Everis culture - their history, what Hunters are, marked mates, and general mating. This planet actually prizes virginity whereas it doesn't really matter to the other planets with Interstellar Brides. Von and Lexi make a prefect introductory pair with no actual drama between the two just instant recognition to their other half. The drama comes from another Everian that decides he wants Lexi for his own. The story is well written and is fairly short. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the Everis better and I can't wait until the next book. While I like the Everians, my favorites are still the Atlans. I only noticed one small editing error. As with all Interstellar Bride books, this is a stand alone but if you are going to read any other Interstellar Brides: The Virgins books, you will want to start with this one as it gives the set up for Everis.

I hadn't noticed with the last Grace Goodwin book, but with this one it advertises 240 pages. What I actually got was 134 and that included all the advertising for other books. I feel cheated. I paid a lot for that many pages. It was like the pages in a short story. I think the others must have been short too as I've read four books in two and a half days. Based on me being cheated. The stars will be affected as shown.

Re-read 11/14/2022. 4/26/2021: it was sweet but was not as good as books of the other series, The original Brides and the other spinoff, The Colony. This recounts the first interstellar bride arriving on Everis. (but listed as The Virgins #2 on Google Play.) Next read The Vigins #3, CLAIMING HIS VIRGIN
