After many, many Davenport novels and meeting Flowers from time to time, I really enjoyed my first full, stand-alone read with Virgil. I started thinking about an ending (and future?) along the lines of Virgil, Frankie and Skinner in the same way I enjoy Lucas, Weather and Lettie. Just a thought - but then I'm a bit of a romantic.
