The author knows what he's talking about. I want to kick myself for all the time I wasted trying to program using App Inventor on my own. The author's emphasis on not repeating yourself is a huge concept that took me a while to get, but now it makes my programming so much easier. There is a LOT that can be done with App Inventor that I really had no idea about until I read this book.

This book covers topics for both new and experienced users and is a valuable reference. It covers complete projects that shows how to use bottom-up design and how to use App Inventor Procedures and even advanced components! Each sample project starts with design diagrams and gradually delves into details. It Includes flow-diagrams, screen-shots, step-by-step explanation of blocks-coding, etc. and finally provides full source code.
