Hostile Witness

This was one of the best books I've read in a long time. Calling a book a "page turner" or "impossible to put down" is too often hyperbole, but not for this superb novel. Every time I had to stop reading I couldn't wait to get back to it. The characters are all so believable. The plot is so interesting. The mental images the book creates are so vivid it's like watching a movie at times. It was impossible not to feel sorry for Hannah and root for Josie, even when other characters were voicing doubt. I genuinely cannot enthuse enough. If I have any criticism, and it's very minor, it's that the incorrect use of apostrophes in possessive nouns was a distraction on several occasions. Read this book; you won't regret it.

This is one of the best books I have read in a very long time. when you wrote Hannah's mother into the story, I hope you were guessing instead of channeling experience. This book had me yelling, crying or dumbfounded until the very end. I am very interested in following these characters and finding out more of their stories! I'm definitely hooked!

OK. after a series of obnoxious, cookie-cutter "female FBI Agents" with a ton of personal demons, I am wary. where is the New Generation thriller DAPHNE DuMORIER or humorous crime SUE GRAFTON. I'll see how far into Chapter #1I can get. fingers crossed, diving in....
