4.5 Stars This is the first book in the Hot Zone series. I first off have to say I loved Annabelle. She has such a big heart. taking the animals under wing because she couldn't bear the thought of them not having a home. She has an underlying fear inside that stems from her childhood. This book starts off showing what brought this some family together and when her uncle says "Well I'll be damned, You've got a bow on your butt." I knew I was going to like this one. Then we have Brandon ex football player need of some help from the Hot Zone firm to help with the PR for his lodge. I really enjoyed Annabelle and Brandon together because they gave each other what the other was seeking. Annabelle is a breath of fresh air and brings sunshine onto Brandon's life. Problem is can Brandon believe enough himself to be good enough for Annabelle? All the while this is going on there is a story going on in the background with Annabelle's uncle. That too has me intrigued. That grouchy guy comes off as a bear, but he has a soft spot for his nieces, but he is on the verge of letting the best thing in his life get away. This is a great kick off to the series and has left me wanting more.

I truly enjoyed reading Hot Stuff, the introductory story in Carly Phillips’ Hot Zone series, once again. This is a reissue of the original 2004 edition with some updating and a new cover. The original sits on my keeper shelf, that’s how much I love this series. The Hot Zone features the three Jordan sisters, orphaned by a plane crash, leaving then in the custody of their Uncle Yank, a bachelor sports agent. As the girls age, Yank expands the Hot Zone adding the girls to assist with pr for their clients. I loved the give and take between Annabelle Jordan, the eldest sister, and Brandon Vaughn, former star football player. As these two spend time together, getting to know each other, walls come down insecurities come to light, and happiness in a relationship arises that neither expects. These two are perfect for each other. This book is not as sexy as Phillips’ more recent books, but still has those loveable characters that you want to cheer on, hoping for their happy ending. The characters were well written and authentic. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. I genuinely enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. I highly recommend this book to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Oh yes! I loved Hot Stuff by Carly Phillips!!! Brandon acts like he is confident, but deep down he has his doubts. I really wanted to be Annie at times and comfort him. But he is also tough and mostly in control. So we can not underestimate him. He has a dream, but it is being threatened. Do we know who it is? I had my theories, but when it was revealed who was making the mess, I was a little appalled. That is what I loved about this story! It is unexpected. Once you think you have things figured out, you really don't. Carly keeps us on out toes! Uncle Yank! He did good raising 3 girls on his own. He had help with his assistant Lola...but that is another story to tell. We only get a glimpse of it. Annie, Uncle York's eldest niece, is the one who kept her sisters together. She controlled her feelings, except when it came to Brandon. You have love, you have uncertainly, but Hot Stuff will start bringing a family back together. I can not wait for the next book!!! I did not put this book down once I started to read it! You will love this new family!!
