À propos de cet e-book

Governments have a wide range of ways to cheat citizens out of their money and resources. From hidden taxes and fees to inflated contracts, governments can find ways to take more money from citizens than they deserve. The most common way governments cheat citizens is through hidden fees and taxes. Governments can sneak in fees or taxes into products or services, making them more expensive than they should be. This is especially common with utility bills, where small fees can add up over time and become quite expensive. Another way governments cheat citizens is by inflating contracts. Governments can award contracts to companies that offer the most money, even if the company is not the best fit to do the job. This results in citizens paying more money for services than they should, as the companies who get the contracts can increase their prices because they know the government is willing to pay. Finally, governments can also cheat citizens by manipulating the rules surrounding public resources. For example, governments can limit access to public resources, such as land and water, to only those who are politically connected or who can pay the most money. This means that citizens who should have access to these resources are prevented from doing so, resulting in them missing out on opportunities that should be available to them.
