About the author

Prof. Dr. Hua Wang has spent many years working in printing, dyeing, and the textile production of cotton and wool. He also has experience in international trade. In 2012 he was appointed as a senior visiting scholar at Deakin University in Australia where he studied cotton and wool fibers. Prof. Hua Wang is currently engaged in the teaching and research of textile intelligent manufacturing technology, digital printing technology, and textile intangible cultural heritage at Donghua University and Western Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agriculture Science. His main research involves the manufacturing and application technology of raw materials for cotton, silk and wool textile, digital printing of textiles, and research on world textile history. He holds 4 patents, has published more than 50 papers, and has edited 10 textbooks in the field of textiles. In 2018 he won the only “Golden Sail Golden Camel award from Donghua University, and in 2019 he won second prize in the science and technology progress of the China Textile Federation. He has been awarded the title of “Best Teacher and Best Tutor by overseas students of Donghua University for the last five consecutive years.

Dr. Hafeezullah Memon is an associate professor at the College of Textile Science and Engineering (International Institute of Silk), Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, China. His research work addresses bio-based materials, vitrimers, the spinning of natural fibers, the dyeing and finishing of woven fabrics, carbon fiber–reinforced composites, recyclable, and smart textile composites. He is a recipient of the research fund for International Young Scientists by the National Science Foundation of China, the 2021 Outstanding Foreign Expert and Teacher by Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, the CSC Outstanding Award of 2020 by the Chinese Scholarship Council, China, was received Academic Competition and Scientific Research Award in 2019, Grand Prize of NZ Spring International Student Scholarship in 2018, and Excellent Social Award for three consecutive years during his doctoral studies by International Cultural Exchange School, Donghua University, China. He is a member of the Society of Wood Science and Technology, the American Chemical Society, the International Textile and Apparel Association, and the Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Industrial Textile Material. Moreover, he is a fellow of the Textile Institute and chairman of the Alumni Association of International Students at Zhejiang Sci-Tech University. Since 2014 he has published more than 60 peer-reviewed technical papers in international journals and conferences and has worked on more than 10 industrial projects.
