About this ebook

He never wanted to become a vampire hunter….

Dr. Jamie Joplin has always had a fear of the dark and the creatures that crawl forth from the shadows after the sun goes down. His parents speak of immortal beings capable of destroying vampires, but Jamie decides at an early age that is not the life for him. He’s perfectly content to stay a human surgeon, fixing human afflictions.

When his sister is seriously injured pursuing a vampire, Jamie is the only one that can save her. Healing Marjorie requires him to go through the transformation process and become a Guardian, a specific type of vampire hunter that can potentially live forever.

Forced to leave his life as a surgeon behind, Jamie embarks on a new journey, one that will bring him face to face with the bloodsuckers he’s feared his entire life including Jack the Ripper, Dracula, and a very different kind of villain at Pearl Harbor.

Based on a favorite character in The Clandestine Saga series, Jamie explores how the guardian who can heal anyone with a touch of his hand came to join the LIGHTS team. This book can be read as a standalone novel or as a complement to The Clandestine Saga. You do not have to have read Aaron, book 1 in A Vampire Hunter’s Tale, in order to enjoy Jamie.

Enjoyed one and two, it was interesting how the author leads us through history using events we know to mark the timeline. Also using the oldest Vampire Dracula in the story.

I could not put this one down! Ive read the entire clandestine series, the entire Cassidy series, with the exception of the last 3 i still need to read. I have read Aaron and Jamie. Next i will read Elliot and there return to Cassidy's last 3. I would love to read janette and jordans stories and tho im not a huge fan of Christian, i would love to know what makes him tick, why he is the way he is. Thanks for the adventures, been an awesome journey.

About the author

ID Johnson wears many hats: mother, wife, editor, tutu maker, and writer, to name a few. Some of her favorite people are the two little girls who often implore that she "watch me!" in the middle of forming finely crafted sentences, that guy who dozes off well before she closes her laptop, and those furry critters at the foot of the bed at night. If she could do anything in the world, she would live in Cinderella's castle and write love stories all day while sipping Dr. Pepper and eating calorie-less Hershey's kisses. For now, she'll stick to her Dallas-area home and spending her days with the characters she's grown to love.
