I Nightwish sono un gruppo musicale che rientra nell’ambito dell’ heavy metal, genere musicale molto diffuso nei paesi scandinavi. La loro carriera è stata graduale ed impressionante per l’evoluzione presentata. La loro musica è decisamente aperta a molte influenze stilistiche provenienti da altri generi musicali, è da sottolineare come la loro produzione sia sempre caratterizzata dalla presenza melodica senza eccedere nella brutalità ritmica o sonora, gli arrangiamenti sono molto sensibili e toccanti ed intervengono elementi celtici e gotici.

Nightwish is a band that is part of heavy metal, a music genre that is very popular in Scandinavian countries. Their career has been gradual and impressive because of the evolution presented. Their music is definitely open to many stylistic influences from other musical genres, so it's important to point out that their production is always characterized by melodic presence without exceeding rhythmic or sonic brutality, the arrangements are very sensitive and touching and Celtic and Gothic elements intervene.
