About this ebook

Rivals, fakers, and doppelgängers have been scourges to Sonic for years, but Dr. Starline’s newest creations pose an entirely new threat. New challengers Surge and Kit were designed for a single purpose: to replace Sonic and Tails as the world’s greatest heroes! And that means it’s not just the Blue Blur and his friends who should be wary—Dr. Eggman better watch out too! But has Dr. Starline gone too far this time? Will his master plan succeed, or will these imposters prove impossible to control? One thing’s for sure: Surge and Kit mean to make a splash, and Sonic’s world will never be the same! Collects the complete four-issue mini-series.

For the most part, I bought this without reading the description, befuddled by what could possibly come after IS 4 and presumably having Surge and Kits' arcs rolled into the main series. Now, I realize... This is essentially a "mislabeled" collection of 1-4. I'm not angry, just a bit annoyed. It DOES intersperse something like 10 or so pages of new content and context, so it's not a complete loss. Probably wouldn't have grabbed it for 8 bucks, though, considering I already paid 16 bucks for the rest of the mini-series. Live and learn, I suppose.

A story about doppelgangers, kinda good, but also kinda mid, some issues not as good as some others, kinda like with T&W, so... Mid.

this is marked as issue 5 but it's actually a collection of the whole side series
