About this eBook

She hates me…

I’m going to make her fall in love with me anyway.

As captain of the SoCal Vipers, the last couple of seasons haven’t been going well. My stats are slipping, and I’m at risk of being traded.

So, I’m not in the mood for a case of mistaken identity with the woman playing bouncer at the arena door.

But when I find out she’s come to town to escape her controlling family and make a fresh start, I know I can’t just let her walk away.

I’ll do anything to make sure she’s safe.

And if that means claiming her forever…then all the better.

Because she’s mine.

Even if she doesn’t know it yet.

When the Game Breakers meet more than hearts will be broken…

They’ll claim, protect, and...maybe just rock their women's worlds.

Series tropes include:

   •   enemies to lovers

   •   mistaken identity

   •   starting over

   •   rags to riches

   •   protective MMCs

   •   found family

   •   and more...

Banks, Atlas, Royal and Dash have been friends and made themselves family but every year is harder after the loss of another friend and Banks isn't doing so well on the Ice and one cute but surely women Aspen has really left him spinning she works hard and won't ask for help much less give him the time of day but he's not ready to back down if he could just get past that prickly exstior. Aspen has been disappointed by life, men and family she works two jobs and has plenty of walls built up so she keeps putting the hot hockey player off but he turns up everywhere he's at the rink and her second job turns out he's part owner of the bar she's working at but when a creep from work and a car issue enter her life the guy she wanted nothing to do with turns out to be her hero and the man she's starting to fall for then her past finds her along with a major hurdle in there relationship it's going to take allot to move past Banks fears and make things work. This was a really good start too a new series that's not just about hockey but family . Can't wait for the next book in the series and I hope that Brier gets her haply ever after too. I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book I purchased a copy and this is my honest review.

I love Kat Mizera and Elise Faber as individuals but coming together has created something magical with Icebreaker book one in their new co-written Gamebreakers Series. I was so excited for this book and I wasn’t disappointed and honestly I have no idea who wrote what and that’s a sure sign of talent. This is Banks and Aspen’s story and if their story is anything to go by this will certainly be a hit series. Aspen is working two jobs to make ends meet and she is determined to do on her own,

4.5 stars. This story is dual POV, well written and edited, and a steamy, contemporary hockey romance. I appreciated Aspen’s staunch independence and enjoyed how she learned to mellow enough to appreciate assistance without giving up control. I enjoyed Banks’ commitment from very early on, and his dedication and perseverance to convincing Aspen of his long term interest. I appreciated the characters’ reality that included significant historical trauma that each needed to deal with.
