The road to a second chance is not an easy one for this couple. They are definitely compatible and already seem like a family with adorable kids. Very emotional, steamy ride to rebuilding trust and acceptance of the love they have to give at this more mature stage in their lives. I've been looking forward to Peter and Carrie's story after reding book 1 in the series, I could just tell that they were made for each other. They've been best friends through school, but both wanted different things in life, Peter wanted away from Ardor Creek as his home life was awful and Carrie was to stay in the town she loved and raise a family. The timing wasnt quie right for these two when they were younger but neither could really see the others point of view clearly, too caught up in their own needs. I got a little frustrated with Carrie as she seemed to put all the blame on Peter's shoulders, but she refused point blank to any kind of compromise that wasn't in her favour. She really made him jump through hoops to win her back, and Peter definatley put Carrie on a bit of a pedestal. I enjoyed watching these two work through their differences and come together to help out Sebastian. They needed to see the other person's side before they could be together forever.

Sweet, charming storyline about two people who continually mess up but actually mean a lot to one another. A disclosed secret by Carrie forces a change in the dynamic and relationship to the extent that they reevaluate their whole life.
