This book explores the framework of Intercultural Citizenship within a variety of US teaching and learning contexts. The chapters, which comprise both conceptual pieces and empirical research studies, represent a wide variety of languages at levels ranging from beginner to advanced, from early elementary through higher education contexts. Allison Spenader is a Professor at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University, Minnesota, USA. Her research interests include Intercultural Development in Study Abroad, Intercultural Citizenship, Immersion Education, Critical Content-Based Language Instruction (CBI , CLIL) and Teacher Preparation.
