About this eBook

The spellbinding classic that started it all, from the #1 New York Times bestselling author—the inspiration for the hit television series

“A magnificent, compulsively readable thriller . . . Rice begins where Bram Stoker and the Hollywood versions leave off and penetrates directly to the true fascination of the myth—the education of the vampire.”—Chicago Tribune

Here are the confessions of a vampire. Hypnotic, shocking, and chillingly sensual, this is a novel of mesmerizing beauty and astonishing force—a story of danger and flight, of love and loss, of suspense and resolution, and of the extraordinary power of the senses. It is a novel only Anne Rice could write.

The spellbinding classic that redefined vampire lore and set the stage for a new era of supernatural fiction is Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire. As the debut novel in her renowned The Vampire Chronicles series, it captivated readers with its rich storytelling and complex characters, making it a foundational work in modern vampire mythology.

As part of 'The Vampire Chronicles'... It's a chronicling. It is an in depth story of not only life as a vampire on the run, but the emotions in doing so. It describes the love and despise that Louie feels during his growth. Overall... It's a solid read, but certainly not a page turner. I'm yet to start the third one.

I read every book Anne Rice has written with the exception of Feast of all Saints. I couldn't get past the second chapter. Lol , but the Vampire chronicles is amazing. So is The Wolf Gift series and The Mayfair Witches. If you have a imagination. Get lost in these worlds... I promise you won't be disappointed. I read the first two books about the vampires out of order. I recommend doing this. Read Leatate the Ultimate Vampire first , then Interview with the Vampire
