Just as charming as THORN, BRAMBLES takes the reader on a brief yet touching journey, giving us insight into Alyrra's early life. From this story, I got an even stronger sense of Alyrra's moral character and the decision she'll be called to make in the later book. Also, I somehow loathed Valka even more. If that's possible. To see her conniving and scheming up close, with personal details about the suffering she loves to inflict upon people who've done her no wrong... Ugh. Made my blood boil. But it also got me excited to re-read THORN, so. Give this book a try! You won’t be disappointed.

About the author

Intisar Khanani grew up a nomad and world traveller. Born in Wisconsin, she has lived in five different US states as well as in Jeddah on the coast of the Red Sea. She currently resides in Cincinnati, Ohio, with her husband and two young daughters.

Prior to publishing her novels, Intisar worked as a public health consultant on projects relating to infant mortality and minority health, which was as close as she could get to saving the world. Now she focuses her time on her two passions: raising her family and writing fantasy.
