About this ebook

Sheltered her entire life, Jubilee Thornton yearns to spread her wings and fly after a childhood marked by illness. Her first goal? To attract the attention of the handsome schoolteacher she’s had a crush on for years, Heath DiMarco.

One fateful night, Jubilee throws caution to the wind and kisses Heath—until he pushes her away and tells her they can never be together.

Heartbroken, Jubilee vows to forget Heath and live the life she’s always wanted. In a fit of inspiration, she creates a list of resolutions: to go skinny-dipping, to go on dates, and to finally lose her virginity.

Heath DiMarco moved to the small town of Fair Haven seven years ago to escape the memories of his past. Now a well-respected elementary school teacher, he can’t afford to have a dalliance with the youngest sister of his best friend, no matter how much that single kiss on Halloween night shook his world.

That is until Heath finds Jubilee’s list of risqué resolutions. He can’t bear the thought of her with any man but him.

Yet he knows he can’t have her himself. Instead, Heath decides he’ll vet the men Jubilee wants to date. Jubilee agrees, but only if he teaches her how to flirt—and how to kiss.

He knows he should tell her no, but he can’t resist the temptation she presents.

As desire heats to a roaring flame between them, secrets threaten everything they both hold dear. Unless they untangle themselves from a dangerous web of lies, they will face heartbreak—or be transformed by a passionate love.

We first met Jubilee in The Nearness of You when she started working for Megan in the bakery. It was the start of Jubilee's stand for independence after having suffered a childhood fighting leukemia. The story clearly illustrates how old family habits take hold of all the characters, casting the members into roles which they struggle to shake off. Jubilee was the delicate innocent child that everyone, including her brother's best friend Heath, felt they had to protect. Well, Jubilee was going to divest herself of the past and she starts off by making a list, which accidentally falls into Heath's hands. Heath is horrified when he realises what Jubilee intends doing, and does everything he can to protect her. However, there are other forces at work and in the process Jubilee falls victim to them. The attraction between Heath and Jubilee is tangible and as much as Heath would like to distance himself from her, given their age difference, he finds that grown-up Jubilee is just a bit more than he can handle. As a romance the story is well written, however I found the suspenseful side a little disjointed and lacking in substance. I did read the first book in the series, but found that not having the background to the rest of the episodes did erode my reading pleasure. Nevertheless this book is a standalone, although there is unfinished business that needs to be dealt with. I received a copy of this book through Booksprout and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Till There Was You by Iris Morland Jubilee Thornton loved Heath DiMarco forever...he just didn't know it. Jubilee being the youngest of the Thornton clan and a two time cancer survivor made a list. All the things she wanted to do in a year. She had kissed a guy, Heath, but he told her there couldn't ever be anything between them. When Heath happens to find her list on the floor, he means to give it back, but instead just makes a deal with Jubilee. He'll help her do the list by starting with teaching her how to flirt. He's bitten of more than he can chew he's afraid. Things begin to heat up and Heath is afraid of letting her know his secrets. He wants to keep her safe, but from things different than her family. His past indiscretions get in the way, though. One keeps waiting for the other shoe to fall. What happens when everyone knows his secret? Will he have to leave his teaching job? Of course he'll have to let Jubilee go. And then what about Jubilee, will she still go away to school? So many twists and turns, it's so exciting! It's all so sweet and sexy and thrilling. Ms. Morland does a fine job with the characters, and even though this is part of a series, it can easily be read as a stand alone. But, it might make you pick up the other books in the series...it's just that good!

Sweet, thrilling, sexy, engaging, heart warming and emotional romantic journey with a tragic past and hidden secrets. Jubilee and Heath are just adorable opposites and so similar at the same time. She is innocent in most ways having been sick as a child her family has sheltered her from the outside world so afraid of losing her at any moment. At 25 she is in remission and has had enough of not being able to live her life on her terms. He is sexy, strong, charming and her older brothers best friend that sees her as a little sister. (or does he) He stumbles upon her list of things she wants to do and the whole world changes for the both of them, but will it last... Loved every heart pounding twist in this highly entertaining romantic adventure.
