This is my favourite story so far in this series and although Anya has been to hell and back she is courageous enough to ask Paddy to marry her so that her sister will leave her alone and Paddy accepts to stop his mother trying to set him up. A self confessed playboy, no-one knows why he is opposed to marriage. Paddy is so gentle with Anya and yes he screws up a couple of times but he makes up for it. This is a story of two lost souls who find each other and also find the courage to love one another. It is a beautiful love story with the perfect happy ending.

This is the fifth book in this incredible series, and this is Paddy and Anya’s journey. Anya has been through so much in her life, but she is a survivor, and she was left broken past horrific events. Being an introvert Anya prefers her solace, but he meddling family have other ideas, and things that a husband is what she needs. Paddy is a confirmed bachelor, who has his own demons and family to contend with, and he is the only one Anya trusts, and when she approaches him to offer a solution to both of their problems, he thinks about it before agreeing. Paddy is there is protect and care for Anya, but what will happen when their feeling changes to more about each other> This is a beautifully written story which is sweet, emotional, and with humor, witty banter, survival, family, and love, which leads to a touching and entertaining riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend. Be aware of the trigger warning due to sensitive content!!

I absolutely love every book in the 'Brooklyn Kings' series by L.K. Shaw and 'Irish Rogue' did not disappoint. I knew any story that involved Anya would be a little emotional and tricky for a male to somehow get through her walls that she had built up and distance that she maintained because of her previous trauma. And Paddy had that silly playful side that always never thought serious about anything. I did NOT see them having a relationship, even a fake one, but LK Shaw surprised me again. Both characters had issues and problems that stemmed from their past and the story was pretty emotional while they were trying to deal with those issues. Of course the story included so danger and excitement and also made me giggle a couple times. I really wish that Paddy and Pierce had come to more acceptance between them, especially after what happened with the Polish, but hopefully that will come in a future book. Can't wait to see Nathan and Lucia's story! I received a review copy of this story from the author and am leaving a voluntary honest review.
