It will appeal to undergraduate and postgraduate students and professionals dealing with optical communication and the design of electro-optic devices. The book explores the theoretical background and practical aspects both when optical signals propagate through a wireless channel (for LIDAR atmospheric applications) and when they propagate through an optical fiber.
Dr Irit Juwiler received her PhD in Electrical Engineering-Physical Electronics from Tel-Aviv University, Israel, in 2004. She is currently the Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the Ashdod Campus of Shamoon College of Engineering, Israel, and Head of its Research Center for Electro-Optics. She specializes in optics, nonlinear optics, nonlinear materials, lasers, and optical fibers, and her current research includes biomedical optics, atmospheric optics, and quantum optics. She is the author of one book, one book chapter, and over 20 journal articles.
